The valuation of start-up companies is to a large extent driven and explained by growth. The valuation levels represented by revenue multiples can be explained through cash flow-based analysis when appropriately considering the growth trajectory that can oftentimes explained by mathematical equations, especially for SaaS companies. Robust valuations are required and support funding rounds and liquidity events, and this can be demonstrated through case examples.
